                               Walkabout

Due to popular demand from our Origins course where we have a walkabout day, we have decided to run a specific event. The day will consist of walking through woodland and moorland areas looking at many aspects of Bushcraft.

We look at travelling light weight, sampling wild foods, tree identification, observation techniques, fire lighting, animal tracks and signs, navigation and many other aspects of living and moving outdoors.

Our area that we will be travelling in is the pristine Forest of Bowland with its myriad of wooded cloughs, rolling heather moorland, far reaching views and excellent wildlife spotting.

Around lunch time there will be an opportunity to cook around an open fire and try any ingredients and recipes that you bring along.

All the team really like the walkabout and are looking forward to these events with great excitement.

This is a self catering course, as mentioned above you have an opportunity to cook around an open fire or alternatively bring a flask and sandwiches etc.The minimum age of attendance is 8 years old.
