The Tamarack Ethos.

At Tamarack Outdoors we are committed to offering outdoors clothing and equipment from specialist brands from around the world, often difficult to find in the UK. The range we carry caters primarily for the bushcraft and outdoors person as well as the hill walker and camper. We have found that whilst there are some good items in the UK market, to find a range of quality clothing , that will stand up to the job in hand you often, unfortunately, need to look outside the UK.

We stock Fjallraven, Lundhag, Gransfors, Ullfrotte and Silva from Sweden, Norrona and Helsport from Norway and we import a large range of Swazi Clothing from New Zealand. Tasmanian Tiger and Tatonka from Germany and West Winds Ventile clothing, on top of the many other brands we also stock.

We set out in 2003 with the aim of setting up a specialist shop that would feel like an Alladins cave when you came in. We are pleased to say that the feedback we have from customers shows we have achieved this. We have a small outlet and carry as many items as we can physically fit into the store. We are always happy to order any item, from any brand we deal with, that is currently available and invariably this would reach you within 10 working days.

Directions

From the South

From M6 North bound take junction 32 M55 signposted Fleetwood, Preston North.

Follow signs for A6 Preston and Garstang.

At roundabout take the third exit signposted A6 Garstang.

After 5.5 miles from the roundabout turn right on the B6430 also sign posted Garstang  Country Hotel and Golf Club

Follow signs for Ray Lane and the Creamery Industrial Estate.

After passing Garstang Country Hotel and Golf Club turn right onto Calder House Lane sign posted Friends Meeting House and Ray Lane Industrial Estate.

Stay on Calder House Lane, after several bends this turns into Bruna Hill, then into Ray Lane.

Follow Ray Lane over humped back bridge and under railway bridge. Pass under railway bridge and turn immediately left passing the Kenlis Arms on the right.

Head for signs for the Creamery Industrial Estate, on entering the Estate straight in front you, you will find Tamarack Outdoors.

From the North

From M6 South bound take junction 33 signposted A6 Garstang and Fleetwood.

At the roundabout take first exit signposted Garstang, Blackpool and Fleetwood

After 7.8 miles take a left turn onto Cock Robin Lane signposted Garstang Country Hotel & Golf Club

At the end of Cock Robin Lane turn left onto B6430
